Today, we had two completely different pieces of news that turned out to be deeply connected.
This morning, our truck successfully delivered a shipment of Ukrainian ceramic tiles to its customer on the Greek island of Corfu. It wasn’t an easy journey — thousands of kilometres, several countries, a ferry crossing, and a complex logistics route. But the cargo reached its customer safely.
And then, this morning, we woke up to the devastating news of another attack on Kyiv. Among those affected was the very factory that had produced the tiles we delivered to Corfu today.
The contrast between these two events is impossible not to feel. While Ukrainian companies continue to manufacture, export, and reach new markets, they face threats that are hard to comprehend in the 21st century.
We are proud to play a small part in that journey. We will continue to do everything we can to support Ukrainian businesses and help Ukrainian products reach customers across Europe, despite all the challenges.
Ukraine does not give up. And neither do the people who keep building, producing, and moving forward.
