We've been running a regular flow of ceramic tile deliveries from Ukraine to Greece. The tiles are going into newly built and reconstructed schools, and that detail stays with you. Knowing that what you're moving ends up in classrooms where children will spend their days means something.
So what does it actually take to run this kind of job properly?
Ceramic tiles are heavy and fragile. Loading has to be done carefully, palletisation has to be right, and the cargo needs to stay secure throughout. We're also moving goods from Ukraine into the EU, which brings its own requirements: ISPM 15 pallet marking, correct documentation, product certification, registration in the TRACES system. Miss any one of those and you're looking at border delays.
Construction sites are not warehouses. Narrow access roads, no proper surface, mud, uneven ground. Sometimes just getting the truck out after unloading is a job in itself. Driver experience genuinely counts here. Ours handle it well, every time.
We're currently running around 10 trucks a week on this project. The scheduling is tight and we stick to it. One truck broke down recently mid-route. We had it sorted within a day and moved another truck forward in the schedule so the overall flow wasn't affected. Controlled, which is the point.
